During his first visit to his Lok Sabha constituency since BJP's bumper victory in Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi again strongly pitched for the development agenda and said while previous government 'hated' development.

He also said that development is the only solution for every problem.

From launching a handicraft trade centre to flagging off India's third Mahamana Express via a video link, PM made it a point to tell his audience that his government is only thinking about empowering everyone.

In a veiled attack at the Opposition, he said that his government not only lays foundation stone but also completes and inaugurates the projects.

Later in the evening, he launched a postal stamp base on Ramayana at Tulsi Manas Mandir. It must be noted that the legend says it is the same place where Goswami Tlusidas wrote Ramayana.

Later, he visited Durga Mata Mandir and performed Shakti Puja.

An ardent Goddess Durga devotee, Pm Modi is currently fasting for Navratri.

On Saturday his itineary would include opening a  ‘Pashu Arogya Mela’ at Shahanshahpur on the outskirts of Varanasi. He will also have a ‘mann ki baat’ with farmers, and distribute loan waiver certificates.  He will return to Delhi later in the day.
