Jyotiraditya Scindia will lead the Congress party in Madhya Pradesh elections next year.

Senior party leader Kamal Nath made the announcement in Guna, the Lok Sabha constituency of Scindia.

"There was no opposition to the name of Scindia as the leader of the party in the state," reported Zee News quoting Kamal Nath.

Madhya Pradesh goes to polls by next year-end as the tenure of the current assembly ends on January 7, 2019.

The party is sniffing good electoral gains in Madhya Pradesh, where it has been out of power for the last 14 years.
