Jung cast his vote at a booth in St Xavier's Senior Secondary School in Civil Lines in the Model Town constituency. The Lt Governor also urged all the citizens to exercise their franchise. "I request people to come out and vote heavily. I always hope that Delhi makes a record in polling in the country," he said.

A record 65.13% people had voted in the 2013 Assembly polls. Delhi has been under President's Rule since February last year after Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government quit.
