Lok Sabha polls: Congress finalises seat-sharing with partners in Jharkhand, to contest on 7 seats; JMM gets 4

The Congress on Sunday finalised seat-sharing agreement with its alliance partners in Jharkhand, agreeing to contest seven out of 14 Lok Sabha seats. 

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) and the Rashtriya Janata Dal are other constituents of the 'Mahagathbandhan' in the state. 

Under the seat-sharing agreement, the JMM will contest on four seats, JVM on two and the RJD in one Parliamentary constituency. 

The ruling BJP has also entered into a pre-poll alliance with Ajsu in the state. 

The saffron party will contest 13 seats and Ajsu, formerly known as the All Jharkhand Students Union before it registered as a political entity, from the Giridih constituency.

Polling is due in Jharkhand in four phases from April 29.
