Liquid chlorine cylinder explodes in Chennai; 1 killed, 20 injured

A 55 year-old woman was killed and 20 others were injured at suburban Tirumullaivoyal when a cylinder containing liquid chlorine exploded while being transported in a van. Mariam Beevi who fell unconscious after being trapped in the gas was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died, police said. Around 20 persons who complained of suffocation and irritation were provided treatment, police said.
