BJP chief Amit Shah on Friday met ace badminton player Saina Nehwal in Hyderabad as part of the party's 'sampark se samarthan' campaign.

Both Shah and Nehwal tweeted about their meeting. "It was wonderful meeting @NSaina, our Badminton star, and her family at their home in Hyderabad. Shared with them several achievements and path breaking initiatives of Modi government in the last 4 years, as a part of 'Sampark for Samarthan' campaign," Shah wrote on Twitter.

Shah was on a one-day trip to the capital of Telangana to review the party's preparedness for the next Lok Sabha elections.

Shah will hold a review meeting with the party's vistaraks in the BJP's state office there, after that he will attend the meeting of the Lok Sabha election management committee, the party said in a statement on Thursday.

Besides Saina, Shah also met Enadu group president Ramoji Rao and famous industrialist Srinu Raju at his residence in Hyderabad. With all three eminent personalities, Shah shared the four years of unprecedented achievements of the Modi government.
