Union state minister for telecommunication Sachin Pilot has alleged that the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh was "serious" but shown to be under control in the records provided by the state government.Talking to media persons in Ghaziabad yesterday, Pilot said the law and order in the state was going from bad to worse and that people were suffering due to criminals and police both.Criminals commit crime and police overlook them. They do not even lodge a complaint, he alleged.Incidents of crime are under control only in records shown by the state government but situation is serious, he said.He asked the youths to cooperate with Rahul Gandhi in UP 2012 elections so that "the BSP government be uprooted for welfare of labour, farmers and downtrodden people in UP."
