The documents contained "clinching evidence", he told reporters after his meeting with Fadnavis at his official residence.

During the meeting, the Congress leader demanded immediate dismissal of Waikar and demolition of the illegal construction at a government gymnasium in Aarey Colony.

"Chief Minister assured me he would take a serious note of my complaint," Nirupam said.

On Monday, the Congress leader had filed a complaint against Waikar with the state Lokayukta alleging the minister usurped government land in Aarey Colony and made illegal constructions at a government-run gymnasium there.

Waikar, while denying the charges of land grabbing, had said yesterday that permissions for construction were given by the Urban Development Department, headed by the Chief Minister himself. Nirupam has also accused the Sena leader of misusing his position to clear a slum redevelopment project for a firm in which he was a partner earlier.
