On Wednesday night, a speeding Lamborghini Murcielago crashed into a road divider near India Gate in the capital.

The driver lost the control of mean machine and rammed the car. He abandoned the car and fled the accident spot. The car did not have any number plate but according to reports, the car is registered in the name of a real estate company which has offices in Noida and South Delhi.

The incident came to light when Tilak Marg station's Constable Tej Pal found it on his night patrol. The car was brought to Tilak Marg police station. All the tyres and the rear left protion of the car were completely damaged.

A case under Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act has been registered.

The Lamborghini Murcielago has 6-5-litre V12 engine. It takes only 3.2 second to reach 100 kmph and the top speed is 342 kmph. It costs about Rs 5 crore.
