Lalu Prasad has reached out senior party colleague Akhilesh Prasad Singh sulking since the RJD chief conceded most of the assembly seats from Motihari, a Lok Sabha constituency he held between 1995 and 1999, to LJP."I came to see my colleague who is angry with us following seat-sharing with the LJP," Prasad told mediamen after a one-to-one meeting between them last night."Singh has some grievances. I am here to look into and redress them," he said.Prasad was accompanied by former MP Prabhunath Singh, who had recently parted ways with the ruling JD(U) and switched over to RJD.Prabhunath Singh was said to have facilitated the meeting between Prasad and Akhilesh Singh, once a close confidante of the RJD chief.

Akhilesh Singh when approached said he appreciated Prasad's gesture and expected a positive outcome of the meeting.

On the media reports suggesting that he might join the Congress, he said "it is your speculation. It is you had earlier spoken about my switchng over to the JD(U) and now to Congress."
