Gujarat's desert district, Kutch, has managed quite a feat - its rainfall this year is the highest in the past seven years. In 2003, the district had received 711 mm rainfall. And now, in 2010, while the monsoon is not over yet, the annual rainfall has already exceeded the 600 mm-mark.As per data available from the Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA), two districts of Saurashtra - Surendranagar and Jamnagar, have also received their highest rainfall in three years. A few districts have received more than 100% of their last 10 years' average rainfall.Meanwhile some districts of eastern, central and southern Gujarat are yet to receive 100% rainfall for the season. As per GSDMA data, Anand, Dahod, Kheda, Panchmahal, Vadodara and a few more districts are yet to receive 100% of their last 10 years' average rainfall.
