AAP candidate Kumar Vishwas Tuesday filed his nomination here to fight the Lok Sabha election in the constituency held by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.

Ahead of filing his nomination, the poet-turned-politician led a march of his supporters to the Gauriganj district headquarters, saying he had won the hearts of people in Amethi after weeks of campaigning.

The 44-year-old Kumar Vishwas' main opponents are Rahul Gandhi and BJP's Smriti Irani.

Kumar Vishwas declared assets worth about Rs.4 crore in his affidavit. He and his wife hold consolidated assets of around Rs.2 crore in movable assets.He also owns two flats - in Ghaziabad and in Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. Amethi goes to polls May 7.
