KOTA (RAJASTHAN): Kota has imposed a ban on the usage of polythene bags for packing edibles, official said on Tuesday.
The ban will come into effect from Wednesday, a spokesman for Kota Municipal Corporation said on Tuesday.
"Any one found using these bags would be penalised, a the spokesman said, adding that violators could be fined upto Rs 1,000 and a jail term extending upto three months.
