Kolkata teen death: Aabesh Dasgupta's friends present at birthday party grilled by police
As many as seven friends of the total 16 present at the birthday bash were questioned.
Three days after 17-year-old Aabesh Dasgupta was found dead under mysterious circumstances at an upscale residential complex at 6, Sunny Park in South Kolkata, police questioned friends present at the birthday party.
As many as seven friends of the total 16 present at the birthday bash of author Amit Chaudhuri's daughter, were summoned by Lalbazar- Kolkata Police headquarters to record their statements to ascertain what lead to the death of Dasgupta. The remaining friends have also been asked to appear before the Special Investigation Team formed to investigate the death.
On Tuesday, a candlelight vigil was held near the Menoka Cinema Hall demanding justice for Aabesh.
Meanwhile, Dasgupta's friends and relatives have created a Facebook page called 'Justice for Aabesh Dasgupta' and begun an online petition requesting people to sign it.
