The roads in Mallapuram seem to be killer roads as two major accidents have happened this week on subsequent days. Malayala Manorama reported that four people were killed on Tuesday early morning in a car accident near the Biyyam Bridge on the Edappal-Ponnani road.

The car is said to have lost control and overturned killing three teenagers and injuring six other people. The four people who died have been identified as Amal Krishna (15), Sudheesh (16), Athul and Savior.

The report adds that Amal Krishna, Sudheesh and Athul were all members of a handball team of the Ernakumal district while Savior was a relative of one of the other members of the team. The police and locals rushed the four of them to hospital but they were pronounced dead. Two other people involved in the accident are said to be admitted at Thrissur Medical College Hospital while four others are getting treated at Thrissur’s Amala Hospital says the report.

Meanwhile, on Monday five people were killed and 25 injured when a tourist bus hit a lorry. Two children died in this accident. ten people were said to be in critical condition. This accident took place in the early hours of Monday when the people were returning from a wedding in Salem.
