If an alien were to land on earth today and take a glance at our social media feeds, they’d be perturbed by the embittered arguments that dominate the landscape. It would appear that various social media websites have become a battleground for all forms of ideologies, not to mention the vile abuses, trolling and the one-upmanship at all times.

However, as much we detest the vile stage social media has become, there’s no denying of its unmatched ability to bring us together in times of tragedy irrespective of our spatial, financial and political circumstances. One of those moments, when people could stop fighting for a while and band together.

Barring a few individuals who’d rather discuss crazy secessionist issues or try to blame women for environmental issues, a host of different institutions have come together to help rebuild Kerala.

Among them are various individuals who are using their unique skills to make a difference for Kerala flood victims. While one Twitter user is writing limericks for those who donate money, another one is helping donors by editing stuff. Coders are helping out design mobile-friendly websites while a lawyer is helping out with legal documents. Here's how you can help too:
