Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti on Monday expressed her confidence in the youth of Kashmir, stating they would never join the terrorist Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant(ISIS). "I have faith in the Kashmiri youth. I saw them rescue victims of the floods by the hundreds. Thus I do not feel that they will be swayed by a violent organisation like the ISIS," Mufti told ANI.Mufti's remark came after reports emerged of masked men unfurling the ISIS flag during Eid celebrations last week.Terming the ceasefire violations between India and Pakistan 'unfortunate', Mufti also said that the governments of India and Pakistan should concentrate on providing relief to the victims of last month's floods, which had affected both countries. "It is very unfortunate that the ceasefire violations have occurred at a time when both India and Pakistan should have been busy with the rehabilitation of the victims of the recent floods in the state. The life of these people should have been brought back to normalcy by the two respective countries but instead they are fighting each other," Mufti said."The Bharatiya Janata Party's biggest legacy was Atal Bihari Vajpayee and he was for peace. I also feel that to talk of peace, you need more courage. The Centre should take note of this," she added. The ISIS, that is currently waging war against the US-led coalition army in the Middle East, has called to arms Muslims around the world. Last month, a video of an Indian-born jihadist had emerged, where he had called his fellow countrymen to join him.
