Kashmir University today formed a coordination committee to devise ways to strengthen Urdu language in Jammu and Kashmir.   The decision to constitute the committee was taken at a high level meeting chaired by the vice chancellor of the University Riyaz Punjabi, a spokesman of the university said.   Members from Urdu Academy besides, senior officials of the varisty attended the meeting.   Varsity vice chancellor strongly advocated the need to merge Urdu with technology in the contemporary education scenario.   "Technology needs to be promoted at all levels and more so in the stream of Urdu. Technology is the only way ahead," he said.   He also sought to introduce new Urdu language softwares in consultation with the concerned authorities of the university.   The VC said all the departments of the university would soon have signboards in Urdu along with English having a uniform colour scheme and font.
