The Janata Dal (S) and Congress combine Chief Ministerial candidate HD Kumaraswamy on Friday said that two party MLAs have been hijacked by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The new Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa has been ordered by the Supreme Court to face a floor test in the state Assembly tomorrow itself after it drastically reduced the 15-day deadline set by the governor for him to prove his majority.

As the apex court fixed the time for the floor test at 4 pm.

"Two MLAs have been hijacked by our BJP friends. But, I am certain that they will come back to us," said Kumaraswamy.

Stating that JD(S) and Congress have jointly given a list of 118 MLAs to Governor Vajubhai Vala, he said, "We have sufficient strength to form government in Karnataka. This morning Supreme Court has given judgment on Governor's decision. For past two days, BJP is trying to by the MLAs of the opposition."

Meanwhile, BJP MLA Preetham Gowda said that he is in touch with the JD(S) MLAs so that they support BS Yeddyurappa.

Earlier in the day, former chief minister Siddaramaiah said that the BJP has 'abducted' and 'kept in wrongful confinement' MLA Anand Singh by using the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Income Tax (I-T) department against him.

Speaking to reporters after participating in a demonstration against Governor Vala, former chief minister Siddaramaiah said all the 78 legislators of the party and two Independent MLAs were with them.

On Pratap Gowda Patil, who is also reported to be "missing", Siddaramaiah said he was with them.

"Pratap Gowda Patil came and signed on the paper (list of MLAs) that was submitted to the governor," he said.

Rejecting suggestions of any break in the ranks of the Congress and the JD(S) MLAs, Siddaramaiah maintained that all of them were together.
