Kanpur woman arrested for cheating
Posing as an MBBS student of GSBM medical college, the woman tried to trick some doctors into giving donations for an old age home.
A woman, who impersonated as an MBBS student, and allegedly duped doctors into giving money for charity, has been arrested, police said today.
Posing as an MBBS student of GSBM medical college here, the woman last night tried to trick some doctors into giving donations for an old age home.
However, a doctor present at the scene recalled that some of his colleagues were tricked by a woman into giving money for a similar cause some days ago, and he called the police.
Police questioned the woman, who allegedly confessed that she had cheated at least a dozen city doctors in a similar fashion.
A case of fraud has been registered against the woman.
