Kanpur doctor commits suicide after being harassed by wife, in-laws

Depressed over constant harassment from his wife and in-laws, a doctor today allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling of his bedroom in Harsh Nagar area in Kanpur, police said.Sidharth Kumar was reportedly disturbed over his relations with his wife Renu and in-laws, they said.A suicide note was recovered from the spot in which the doctor has raised questions over the character of his wife and blamed her and his in-laws for the extreme step, circle officer Niharika Sharma said.A case has been registered against the wife of the deceased and her family under section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the IPC, Sharma said.
