J&K: Terrorists fire upon CRPF patrolling party in Sopore, one jawan martyred

One CRPF Jawan was martyred and a civilian killed, as terrorists on Wednesday fired upon a CRPF patrolling party in Sopore, Jammu, and Kashmir.

Earlier it was reported that 4 CRPF personnel and civilian sustained injuries. All of them were shifted to the hospital, the security forces informed.

Among the four CRPF soldiers who are injured, one of them died in the hospital.

The area has been cordoned off and a search operation has started.

"Terrorists attacked a naka party at Model town in Sopore. Injuries to some Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans and a civilian reported. Area cordoned off and search operation started," Dilbag Singh, DGP Jammu & Kashmir Police said.
