J&K: Pak commits ceasefire violations in Krishna Ghati & Nowshera Sectors

At around 3:30 am, Pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small Arms, and shelling with mortars along the Line of Control (LOC) in Krishna Ghati Sector, District Poonch, to which Indian Army retaliated befittingly.

Pakistan initiated ceasefire violations in Krishna Ghati & Nowshera Sectors in J&K on Thursday (May 22).

At around 3:30 am, Pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small Arms, and shelling with mortars along the Line of Control (LOC) in Krishna Ghati Sector, District Poonch, to which Indian  Army retaliated befittingly.

In another incident, around 7:20 am, Pakistan committed another unprovoked ceasefire violation in  Nowshera Sector.

On May 8, at least 3-4 soldiers of Pakistani forces have reportedly been killed and five injured in the retaliatory firing by the Indian Army after Pakistan violates ceasefire across LoC in Poonch.

A day before, on May 7, a civilian was injured and two houses suffered damage when the Pakistan Army shelled forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in three sectors of Poonch, drawing retaliation from the Indian Army, a defense spokesperson said. One civilian, Nisar Ali, a resident of Qasba village, was injured in the shelling by Pakistan and was hospitalised, officials said.
