J&K: 2 terrorists killed in Shopian encounter
Joint team of army and SOG launched crpf laid cordon-and- search operation at Safanagri following specific inputs about the presence of some terrorists
Two terrorists were killed in a gunfight with security forces at Safanagri area in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Mohd Idrees Sultan and Amir Hussain Rather have been identified as the two terrorists affiliated with terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen.
Joint team of army and SOG launched CRPF laid cordon-and- search operation at Safanagri following specific inputs about the presence of some terrorists. As such the joint team of forces intensified the searches and fired some warning shots towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists opened fire triggering off a gunfight. The operation is now over.
