Jharkhand PCC happy over Pranab becoming the Prez candidate

Jharkhand PCC on Friday expressed happiness in the wake of AICC President Sonia Gandhi announcing the name of Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee as the next presidential candidate.

"We were disappointed after losing the Hatia assembly by-poll when we heard the news that Pranab Mukherjee will be our presidential candidate. The announcement lifted our spirit," Jharkhand PCC General Secretary Sailesh Sinha said.

"Pranab Mukherjee is a deserving candidate for the post, and we are confident that other parties will also come forward to support him," Sinha added.
