Jewar airport: Gautam Budh Nagar administration sends proposal for land acquisition to UP govt

The Gautam Budh Nagar administration, on Wednesday sent a proposal for the acquisition of 1,334 hectare of land in Jewar for a proposed international airport to the Uttar Pradesh government. 

The project is expected to boost Indian business, especially real estate sector in Delhi NCR. For the same the officials also held a meeting with the real estate players in Noida, where the builders promised their support for teh dream project.

“After examining the proposal, the state government will issue a notification under the Section 11 A of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 for acquisition of the land,” said  District Magistrate Brajesh Narain Singh.

“There were some little glitches initially in the project now the project is in full swing. All real estate players have given a commitment to the government to make all possible help. The project will play a crucial role as the airport will boost the realty sector as well, especially sector 150 and Noida extension region,” said Ajay Chaudhary, CMD, Ace group.

The first phase of airport which would be second in Delhi NCR, would require 1,334 hectare land. 1,239 hectare land from six villages (Rohi, Dayanatpur, Parohi, Kishorepur, Ranhera and Banwari Baans) would be acquired from farmers of these villages while teh remaining 94 hectares belong to government. 

“I am happy to announce that the requisite 70 per cent consent from land owners has been taken for the project, in fact 72 per cent of them have consented to the land acquisition for the project. All formalities have been completed at the district level and a proposal sent to the state government,” Singh said.
