The letter received by Rohtak station superintendent through post threatens to blow up 11 railway stations and temples across six states on October 8, the day the country celebrates Dussehra.

In the letter, one Masood Ahmad who claimes to be JeM's area commander in Jammu and Kashmir says the railway stations in Rewari, Hisar, Rohtak, Kurushetra, Mumbai city, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jaipur, Bhopal, Kota and Itarsi will be targeted on October 8. The letter, written in Hindi, also threatens to blow up temples across several states.

"We jihadis are in thousands in number and we will destroy India. There will be blood everywhere," the letter says.

Following the letter, authorities have tightened security across all railway stations with security forces keeping a strict vigil.
