Refuting reports in some media outlets, Indian intelligence sources have told Zee Media that Jaish-e-Mohammed Chief Masood Azhar was never in Pakistan jail. According to intelligence inputs, his last traced located is outfit's sprawling headquarters in Bahawalpur, It is located at Markaz Subhan Allah.

Earlier some reports had claimed that Masood Azhar has been released from Pakistani jail and is currently planning to launch a massive attack on India. But the fact remains that post Pulwama strike where 40 CRPF men were killed by JeM terroriss, Masood Azhar has been lying low. There were reports that he is extremely ill at one point of time.

But current inputs suggest that his health has shown much improvement but he continues to remain indoors largely and avoids coming out in the open and giving sermons in the Bahawalpur mosque. He was designated a ‘global terrorist’ by the UN Security Council 1267 Sanction Committee on May 1, 2019 after sustained pressure from Indian government bore fruit. Running out of options, China lifted its technical hold which facilitated the path for Masood Azhar to be designated  a global terrorist.

With little support globally for their Kashmir stance, Pakistan is trying to launch a massive attack in J&K. As per latest intel inputs, 4 LeT terrorists are planning to carry out attacks on Army camps and military stations. According to intelligence sources, terrorists may arget Bari Brahmana camp of Samba Distt, Sunjwan and Kaluchak Army camps of Jammu. There are also reports about terrorists planning to enter Jammu from Shopian to carry out attacks.
