JEE Result 2019: NTA releases scores for Jan exam at jeemain.nic.in; Here is how to calculate your score

NTA has released the JEE Main 2019 results for Paper 1. The JEE Main 2019 result was scheduled to be released by January 31, 2019. However, the National Testing Agency has declared the results on the official website. The result this year has been declared in the percentile score. 

JEE (Main) Examination was conducted by NTA from 8 January till 12 January 2019 in two shifts per day across 258 cities in the country and abroad. In 2019, over 9 lakh candidates had appeared for the JEE Main examination There were 467 examination centres across the country and abroad. The Paper-I was conducted in a total of 8 shifts from 9th to 12th January 2019. On 15 January, NTA activated the link to challenge the answer key on the official website. 

Here is how your score for JEE Main 2019 results has been calculated: 

-The result has been declared in percentile score. NTA has calculated the percentile score of the individual candidate on the basis of relative performance of a total number of candidates those who appeared for the examination     in one of the session. 

-NTA has used this formula to reach the score: 

100 X  Number of candidates appeared in the ‘Session’ with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate/ Total number of the candidates appeared in the ’Session’

-The NTA Score of the Total is NOT an aggregate or average of the NTA Score of the individual subject.

- NTA score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained.

According to the official notification, the answer key and question paper for both Paper I and Paper II have been released on the official JEE website. 

Here is how to you can check your JEE Main Paper 1 Result for January 2019:  

1. Log on to the official website jeemain.nic.in 

2. Click on the link 'JEE (Main) January 2019 NTA Score

3. Candidate will be directed to a new window

4. Log in using your Application Number and Date of Birth or Application Number and Password and enter Security Pin as displayed to access your account.

5. Check your result 

6. Take a print of the result for further references 

NOTE:

- The ranks of the candidates will be released taking into consideration the score of both the January and April Exam. 

-NTA will compare the scores of all candidates appeared in January 2019 and April 2019 examinations and in accordance with the policy already made available on the website https://jeemain.nic.in.

- NTA Score for Paper-II (B.Arch. &B. Planning) will be declared later on.
