NEW DELHI: BJP president Rajnath Singh on Monday said the JD(S) in Karnataka has betrayed the saffron party again and asserted that its decision to vote against the state government was a 'blot on democracy.'

Singh said the BJP will not surrender at any cost after its government was on the verge of collapse.

"The JD(S) has promised us an unconditional support. We are ready to go to the people and face elections," he said.

Any decision on Chief Minister BS Yeddyrurappa's resignation will be taken by the BJP's state Unit. Party Leader Yashwant Sinha is already camping in Bangalore.

"It was not our initiative. It was JD(S) who came to us to form the government," he said.

Singh said the developments in Karnataka are the worst form of coalition politics.
