CHENNAI: Announcing a boycott of an all-party meet convened by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to discuss the Sri Lankan issue, AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa on Friday dared his party DMK to withdraw support to the UPA government "for providing training to the Sri Lankan army".

In a statement here, she claimed Karunanidhi had "no moral right" to convene an all party meet, as he was just "watching the attacks on Sri Lankan Tamils and Indian fishermen" by Sri Lankan Army.

Jayalalithaa said that the AIADMK will boycott the October 14 meeting called by DMK supremo.

She also condemned the "arrest" of MDMK chief Vaiko and alleged that police had unleashed violence against MDMK workers, who had gathered to extend support to Sri Lankan Tamils.
