The agitation was postponed as the state government assured to reach a decision on the reservation issue to Jat community of Bharatpur and Dholpur in its soon to be held cabinet meeting, said Congress MLA and head of Jat Aarakshan Aandolan Sangarsh Samiti Vishvendra Singh.

The agitation has been postponed till August 22, he said in Bharatpur.

Earlier, representatives of the community had given a "deadline" of August 15 for a decision in the matter.
