Six persons have been arrested here for allegedly smuggling sandalwood out of the country, police said.     The Japan-bound consignment was coming from Kadappa district of Andhra Pradesh and was intercepted in Chhattisgarh, Raipur superintendent of police, Amit Kumar told PTI.     Two trucks laden with sandalwood have been seized from Hirapur area of the capital city, he said adding the seized fragrant woods is roughly worth at Rs2 crore.     Amit Kumar said acting on a tip off strict patrolling and checking of vehicles was being carried out. Two vehicles carrying sandalwood were seized and six persons were arrested in this connection, he said.     Of the six arrested, one is from Raipur and the remaining belong to Haryana, he added.     Amit Kumar said an international racket is reportedly involved in this smuggling and the arrested are suspected to work for this group.
