Out of the 3,441 registered migrant voters, 1,268 had submitted the M Form seeking the right to exercise their franchise at specially set up polling booths for the migrant voters, an official of the Election Commission said. "For Ganderbal assembly segment, 288 migrant votes were polled, for Bandipora 129, for Sonawari 57 and for Kangan 278 migrant votes were polled," he said. The first phase of the assembly elections for 15 assembly constituencies spread across seven districts in Jammu and Kashmir held today which witnessed an overall percentage of more than 70%.
