On specific information, a police party, comprising station house officer Sheikh Adil and headed by sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Hazratbal, Rameez Rashid Bhat, raided the residential area Hassan-Ul-Banant, 90 feet Road near Masjid Muslim Soura, he said.
The spokesperson said during the raid, 160 gas cylinders were recovered and subsequently seized.
A case has been registered and an investigation was taken up, the spokesperson said, adding that timely action by police has averted a major tragedy.
