J-K: Two soldiers injured in encounter with militants in Bandipora
Encounter underway between security forces and terrorists. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
Two soldiers were injured in an encounter between the security forces and terrorists at Shahgund Hajin in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district on Thursday morning.
Acting on specific intelligence input about the presence of militants in Shahgund village of Hajin area of the district, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, a police official said.
He said as the forces were conducting the search operation, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.
The operation is still going on, the official said.
