"My opponents in the party are trying to get nomination from the BJP headquarters in Delhi as they fear my victory," Sinha alleged before the media here.

Claiming that his "opponents" knew that if he was elected he might get a 'ministerial berth', he said, "a strong force inside the party is working against me. A Hindi daily too published wild allegations against me to malign me." He also alleged that other political parties were also "pumping in money" to defeat him.
