Dharampuri police on Sunday arrested three persons for allegedly raping a woman. The gang-rape incident was reported late on Saturday evening.
A 27-year-old woman of Lalmatia village had lodged a complaint against Bhure Singh (21), Roop Singh (24) and Sanjay (27), all three residents of Malpura village.
All three miscreants used to work as labourer at one, Santosh Thakur's farm situated in Lalmatia village.
According to the complainant, she was working alone in her farmland on Friday evening when these three miscreants reached and gang-raped the victim and threatened her of dire consequences, if she dared to report the incident to anyone.
The woman however mustered courage and narrated the incident to her family members, who in turn, brought her to the local police station to lodge a police complaint. Following this, the cops launched a manhunt and nabbed the miscreants from their hideouts on Sunday noon. A case under sections 376 of IPC was registered against the youths at Dharampuri police station while further investigation was on.
