A man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the roof of his house in Chandan Nagar area early on Tuesday morning.

Body of Nilesh Pawar (28), a resident of Sindora area on Dhar Road, was found lying in a pool of blood at the roof of the house. The victim sustained multiple scars of deep wounds in different parts of the body that probably inflicted by stabbing him with sharp-edged weapons. However, no weapon was recovered from the spot.

The victim's wife stated that Nilesh went to bathroom situated outside the house in the morning. However, when he did not return after sometime, the family launched a search for him. Later, he was found lying at the roof.

The victim was rushed to Choithram Hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead. The body was sent to the district hospital for autopsy.

The victim was a tailor and was living with his wife, a one and half year old child and his parents. However, no one heard him screaming for help when some one repeatedly stabbed him to death as it later came in the short post mortem report.

The police suspect illicit relationship or money dispute as cause behind the killing. A case of murder was registered against unidentified miscreants at Chandan Nagar police station while further investigation was on.
