Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the final Ganesh immersion procession to be held on Wednesday.

The district administration, IMC, the electricity board and police department have made all adequate arrangements to ensure peaceful conclusion of 10-day long Ganesh festival. As many as 12 tableaux of Mills and different organisations will be on display during the procession that will accompany by the groups of different 'Akhadas'. The procession will start from Shram Shivir and will pass through DRP Line, Chikmanglur Square and Kothari Market towards Rajwada.

Thirteen watch towers have been erected across the route to keep a vigil on the proceedings. Medical facilities can also be availed on the watch towers.
Moreover, ambulances and doctors have been strategically stationed in case of any emergency.

No new stage has been permitted to be installed at the procession route to welcome the tableaux. The existing stages have been strictly permitted to install only two loud speakers. Two committees have been constitutes to judge the best tableaux and best Akhadas during the procession.

Heavy police force, members of IMC health and sanitation teams, officials from the district administration, the electricity board's employees and officials will be deployed during the procession to ensure peaceful conclusion of the 10-day long Ganeshotsav.

Efforts are also made for maintaining traffic arrangements on the day.ASP (Traffic), Anjana Tiwari said during the procession, main squares of this routes including Malwamill Square, Chikmanglur Square, MG Road, Gorakund Square, Subhash Chouk, Rajwada Square and Mrignayani Square will be closed for general traffic only at the time of passing the procession.

Besides, the traffic police have chalked out a plan to prevent inconvenience due the traffic flow from Ujjain Road, Dewas Road, Dhar Road and Khandwa Road and divert the same on alternative routes after 2pm on the day.
