The Pakistani foreign office has confirmed a meeting in Islamabad on December 26-27 between India and Pakistan on nuclear and conventional confidence building measures separately.
According to the sources, expert-level talks are being held after four years. The last expert-level nuclear CBM meeting was held on October 14, 2007. Both sides are tight lipped about the agenda during the talks.
In July this year the two foreign ministers had agreed in New Delhi that these talks would be held but it is not clear why they had been delayed at the years end.
On January 1, both countries exchanged lists of nuclear installations and facilities under an agreement to prohibit any attack, by either side.
