If you think that the reason for the spread of coronavirus in India is less than other countries because of following the instructions of the government, then you may be wrong. We are saying this because in a recent research, it has been revealed that the reason for less spread of COVID-19 infection in India is 'unhygienic' habits of Indians.

According to researchers, the people of India have are unhygienic and their immunity has become strong due to this. Today, with the lowest coronavirus cases and mortality in the world, India is at the forefront of defeating the virus. This study has given a new angle to look at the pandemic in the Indian context. However, the researchers made it clear that only poor health and uncleanliness are not the reasons for preventing COVID-19 infection in Indians.

The researchers say that exposure to high microbial can be helpful in preventing infection. But they do not demand adopting or following any kind of unhygienic habits, nor do they consider these habits as an option to prevent COVID-19 infection. They do not even fully confirm this research.

It is to be seen that if this study is true, should not Indians improve their habits? Is only poor health and uncleanliness really enough to prevent coronavirus infection?

Meanwhile, scientists in the UK have begun testing the BCG vaccine, to see if it can save lives from COVID-19 virus.

The vaccine was designed to stop tuberculosis, but there is some evidence that it can protect against other infections as well. In India as well, there are examples where the BCG vaccine proved useful in the prevention of virus.

Dr Renu Aggarwal, Medical Superintendent of Covid Hospital, Sector-39, Noida, had given BCG vaccine to 80 out of 210 employees working there. None developed the coronavirus. Whereas in the group of 130 healthcare workers who were not administered the BCG, 36 of them tested positive for coronavirus.

Similarly, in another example, medical staff who were vaccinated by BCG and have been on covid duty for the past five months, have not been exposed to the infection despite working in corona ward.
