NEW DELHI: Security of the Indian cricket team, currently on the tour of Sri Lanka, is high priority, government said on Monday as it condemned the bomb blasts in Colombo.

"We deplore targeting of diplomatic convoy in colombo," External Affairs Ministry spokesman Navtej Sarna told reporters hours after bombs exploded in Colombo.

"Security of Indian team is high priority," he said.

New Delhi was extremely concerned about the developments in the neighbouring country and was talking to Sri Lankan government and other parties.
