The Indian Army soldiers and the ITBP personnel on Tuesday foiled an attempt by the Chinese soldiers to enter the Indian territory from Finger Four and Finger Five post along the banks of Pangong lake in Ladakh between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. But on both occasions, their attempts were thwarted by alert Indian troops.

The Indian Army soldiers and the ITBP personnel protested by forming a human chain to block the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) troops' attempt to enter India.

It ended up with heated exchange between the two sides resulting in stone-pelting that caused minor injuries to personnel on both sides.

Six to seven army vehicles of PLA troops arrived in at Pangong lake in Ladakh.

The incident comes at a time when both nations have been facing a continued stand-off at the India-Bhutan-China tri-junction in Doka La (Doklam).
