During the 80th CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) anniversary parade in Gurugram on Tuesday, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval paid tributes to the brave 40 CRPF jawans who sacrificed their lives in the terror attack in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir which shook the nation and the world at large.

While addressing all those present at the parade, Doval said that the country hasn't forgotten the terror attack and shall never forget it.

He also said that strong action on terror will continue.

Chief guest Doval also said, "India will continue to act against terrorism and its supporters. Time and location will be decided by the leadership."

Paying homage to the CRPF security personnel who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack, Doval said, "the country will never forget the sacrifices made by them."

While speaking about the credibility of the force, Doval said, "Whenever we have meetings and discuss which force to send? How many battalions should be sent where? We say, send CRPF, it’s a credible force, we can completely trust them. It takes years to achieve such credibility."

Pakistan based United Nations listed terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) took responsibility for the Pulwama terror attack - the worst attack on Indian security personnel in the last two decades.

Over 40 CRPF personnel died in the attack.

This is the first time NSA Ajit Doval spoke at a public event since the Pulwama terror attack.

Meanwhile, there wasn't any cultural programme at the raising day celebrations as a mark of respect to the Pulwama martyrs.

Since the Pulwama attack, India has withdrawn Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status from Pakistan which in turn has increased customs duty on Pakistani good by 200 per cent.

Indian Air Force also carried out a non-military counter-terror strike against JeM camps in Balakot, Pakistan.
