India talks tough, says ball in Pakistan's court to take forward talk process

In a distinct hardening of stance, India has conveyed in unequivocal terms to Pakistan that ball is in their court to take the peace process forward. This is in the aftermath of the Pathankot terror attack where suspected LeT terrorists stormed into IAF base and killed seven security men before being neutralised.
Spokersperson of Ministry of External Affairs, Vikas Swarup said , "We are looking for prompt response by Pakistan to the actionable intelligence provided to them relating to Pathankot attack". Swarup further said,
However, Swarup refused to divulge whether India is mulling the cancellation of Foreign Secretary level talks scheduled for January 15. There were earlier reports that there may be a round of talks between NSAs of both countries before the FS level talks take place.
Swarup also said that India has not given any deadline to Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif spoke to PM Modi after the terror attack where he said strict action would be taken against the guilty. PM Modi on his part has refrained from directly naming Pakistan while condemning the terror attack.
