India is considering Sri Lanka's request for additional aid to ensure resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs), external affairs minister SM Krishna said today.Sri Lanka had conveyed to India that it needs building material to house these IDPs. "So far, the government of India has been able to support to some extent, and we are now considering how much more can be done," he told reporters here.Asked about the condition of Tamils in Sri Lanka after the presidential elections, Krishna said, "The conditions are getting better". Of the 2,80,000 IDPs, lodged in camps in Sri Lanka's north after the end of the war against LTTE last year, 1,80,000 have gone back to their places."There are still about 90,000 IDPs in the camps. The rules on (their) movement has been relaxed in the camps."
