In Badaun like incident, 2 school girls found hanging from a tree in Assam, Karimganj

Two Assam school girls, who had been missing from their homes, were found hanging from a tree in the state's Karimganj district close to the Bangladesh border. The police suspect that the girls were raped and then murdered.PA Bhuya, Sub-Inspector at the Nilambajar Poilce Station said, "We found these two dead bodies hanging from a tree. The post mortem report will clear things. We suspect that they have been raped and murdered.The girls were studying in class eighth and ninth and were had gone missing from their schools since Wednesday.The incident, which is similar to the Badaun gangrape and murder of two teenage cousins, has again raised questions about the safety of women across the country.
