Following the Supreme Court's permission last week for replacing worn-out tarpaulin sheets and ropes at the makeshift temple, Faizabad Divisional Commissioner Surya Prakash Mishra, receiver of the disputed Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya, has approached the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee for a fireproof sheet to cover the makeshift temple of Ramlalla at the site.

The old cover is supposed to be replaced under the supervision of the commissioner and two court-appointed observers. A team of experts from IIT-Roorkee is scheduled to visit Ayodhya on August 30 for a preliminary survey, told Mishra in The Indian Express.

"The administration already placed the order with IIT-Roorkee since it has expertise in preparing quality fireproof materials", Mishra added.
