Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Ashutosh today said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forming a government in Delhi would be unfortunate as it would be equivalent to making a joke of democracy."It will be unfortunate if the BJP is called to form the government, it will be equivalent to making a joke of democracy. The Lt. Governor perhaps does not know the constitution. Democracy is not run by the will of the MLA's but by the will of the people," Ashutosh told ANI."I have already said that the Narendra Modi wave is over and that is why BJP is running away from elections in Delhi. People have come to know that whatever Modi had promised was false," he added.Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung had reportedly sent a recommendation to the President to invite the BJP, which has the highest numbers in the Delhi Assembly, to form the government in the capital.Delhi has been under the President's rule since February 17 this year after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had resigned over the non-introduction of the Jan Lokpal Bil in the State Assembly.
